About SciFidea

SciFidea is a science fiction brand launched in Singapore, as an incubation Startup supported by COL Labs. SciFidea is committed to the development of high-quality science fiction IPs worldwide. Its goal is to explore and cultivate hard science fiction intellectual properties (IPs), build a specialized science fiction community, enhance the income of science fiction creators, and promote the multi-channel development of science fiction works. SciFidea aims to maximize the influence of science fiction works and provides the creators with end-to-end professional support, including writing skills nurturing, publishing, IP promotion, profit sharing, etc.

SciFidea holds the SciFidea Award - Science Fiction Writing Contest that emphasizes a science fiction theme annually. It encourages writers to explore in a way similar to competitive sports. The jewel in the crown this year is Dyson Sphere, and eight big-shot judges from the SF community—Phoenix Alexander, Neil Clarke, Patrick Nielsen Hayden, Nancy Kress, Derek Künsken, Robert J. Sawyer, Michael Swanwick, and Liza Groen Trombi—are involved. Apart from the classic theme and expert endorsements, the high prize money also makes a name for the brand.

SciFidea is a brand with a strong enthusiasm for science fiction and a deep understanding of the industry. The Chief Editor Tang Feng was Liu Cixin’s first editor. He with the Senior Managing Editor Lynn Sun led the team to a successful science fiction contest of Metaverse, co-working with Neal Stephenson on the ceremony. The brand also functions with teams of product development, operations, and business, covering everything a science fiction work needs from the original creation to downstream development.
